When the pilot said, "Welcome to the mile high city" as we landed, I laughed. I was thinking of their new legalization of marijuana. But really the nickname is their elevation, which is marked with a medallion on the steps of the state capitol to commemorate the 5,280 feet above see level.
We would have loved to explore the art and architecture of the capitol, but with toddlers, it's more of a see things as we walk through here quickly.

Then we went to the Museum of Science and Nature. Henry and Gigi loved the dinosaur dig area.
