2013/04/16 Tuesday: A Little Head Wound

Gigi fell into the corner of the trim.  I was very worried about the scarring.  My friend Christy, who's worked in the ER for several years after we went to nursing school together, came over to help me assess whether to take her for stitches.  We also texted pictures to Nick.  Nick said there was very little stitches could do for it, and the kind we would get at an urgent-care would do nothing.  The consensus was that wound glue would be useless (largely because she wouldn't leave it alone), so we are largely going to leave it alone and hope for the best.  She probably looks best with bangs anyway.

 

2013/04/15 Monday: He Cheats

He may score higher than I do in skee-ball, but it's not an honest score.

We cleaned the kitchen, including getting rid of some of the decor.

2013/04/14 Sunday: My Cousins

I had a chance to spend a little time with my cousins H & B, sons of uncle HB, to take photos.  H is leaving on a mission, and B is graduating from high school.

They are both such great guys.  There is such an age gap between us (as far as cousins go) that we're kind of a generation apart.  This was made apparent to me when I made a "Friends" reference and they didn't get it.  I am (to them) an old woman.

 

2013/04/13 Saturday: Charity Banquet

Our BFFs, Jessica and Josh came with us to a charity dinner in Ogden.  Our table also conisted of Kate, her step-daughter S, Kate's FIL Gary, my parents, and my uncle and his lovely wife, HB & Kari.

When my dad bought raffle tickets, I told him (jokingly) that if he won the iPad I got to keep it.  Well, he did win it, and he let me have it.  That's among the many, many nice things he's done for me.  Thanks dad.  It was a fun night even before the raffle!

2013/04/12 Friday: Only at Grandma's House

Don't tell his mom.  What happens at Grandma's stays at Grandma's.

We have had to cancel all of our recreational plans because Gigi is sick.  The theory is she caught it from J, so we're still hanging out with him since he's immune.

We met various Smith clan members and Tim's family at his favorite restaurant for dinner, the Dodo.  What makes this picture funny is that between J and Megan in the background is family friend, Matt H, or as he is more commonly called by us, Texas Matt.  We ran into him as we were waiting for a table.  He was just coincidentally having dinner there.
