Took my friend Abby's picture with the Chicago skyline. She will do the final editing of all the images. I then went to the village's Fall Chili Fest, with fireworks that scared the ducks and the kids (to a lesser degree).

2014/09/24 Wednesday: Wisconsin
We walked around downtown Milwaukee. We made an emergency stop at a McDonald's just off the freeway to clean up the biggest baby blow-out ever. I resorted to giving Philip a sink sponge bath. The kids loved the Mars Cheese Castle near the Illinois border. It's a delightful tourist trap, where another child required a sponge bath and was then put in clothes too cold for the weather.
2014/09/23 Tuesday: Seul Choix and Iron Mountain
Through luck and google, the light house we decided to visit is one of only two you can climb up, and we visited the day before they closed for the season. Seul Choix lighthouse (from the "only choice" in French) is on northern Lake Michigan.
That evening, we went to dinner with a colleague of Nick's who now lives in Iron Mountain, Michigan. It's been a beautiful drive, and the kids have been great in the car.
2014/09/22 Monday: Mackinac Island:
We spent the day on Mackinac island. Famous for it's lack of cars, and for the movie "Somewhere in Time." You can't come here without taking a carriage tour and buying some fudge.
2014/09/21 Sunday: Ann Arbor
Our crew in the daylight. Harry, Lucy, and Bret went to the Henry Ford museum, then drove back to Chicago. Nick, the kids, and I went to the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum, dropped by a couple of Nick's favorite local spots, and then began our drive around Lake Michigan. We ate at Golden Corral because it was the only open restaurant we could find at dinnertime. Gigi refers to it as the fancy restaurant with the chocolate fountain.
2014/09/20 Saturday: Utah vs. Michigan
Drove up in the morning. Went to game, where the baby was required to have his own ticket. Target was out of panchos, so we bought some garbage bags. Eventually there was a really, really long rain delay. When the lightening died down enough for us to get to the car, we finally left. Utes won shortly thereafter. Booked our hotel on priceline and stayed by the airport.
