2013/08/31 Saturday: Up All Night (Partying for the Middle-Aged)

This was the first time we've stayed up until midnight it a while.  Nick and I went to see Hank Williams: Lost Highway.  The performances were good, but I thought it was too depressing.   Watching a musical about someone who's only redeeming quality was their music isn't particularly uplifting, and watching him drink himself to death before he was thirty was downright depressing.
I found the wikipedia article about his illegitimate daughter really interesting.  Who knew, right?

2013/08/29 Thursday: Shrek the Musical

We went to Navy Pier with our neighbors to see Shrek: The Musical.  My friend from church, Summer Smart, was starring as Fiona.  She was fantastic (and so was the rest of the class)!  It was a great outing and the kids really enjoyed the show.

2013/08/28 Wednesday: Taking Henry to School

She adds a few minutes to the drop-off and take up time getting Henry to and from school.

2013/08/27 Tuesday: Gigi Antics

She used all the paper towels to make herself a bed on the kitchen floor.

By the time she got to bed, she was Really tired.

2013/08/26 Monday: Baby vs Todder

Watching Abby work her baby magic to get portraits of baby J.  The results were angelic.

2013/08/25 Sunday: Like Brand New

Gigi's leaking diaper meant that I had to wash my sheets and my mattress pad.  The fact the mattress still looks brand new is proof that the water proof mattress pad has been doing an excellent job.

The fact that Gigi is taking selfies with duck face has us all worried.
