The official state holiday was today. These cousins are ready to head
out in wagons, just like the pioneers.

Too hot to play outside, so after the library we went to McDonald's
Play Place. The ice cream is basically the only thing he ate.

We spent all day renting a truck, driving it to 2 Costco's, buying the
couches, loading them on the truck, and calling friends over to help
carry the couch into the house.
It was so disappointing to return the couch to Costco after we
couldn't fit it into the house. Stupid 1950's engineering makes the
turn from the front door too tight to get the couch in.

Tuesday 7/12: Running Wild at the Primary Activity

Henry is making butter by running around and shaking cream in a baby food jar.

I attended the primary activity with my two kids, allegedly helping out as part of my calling. In reality, I was too occupied with my own two kids to be of much assistance, but we had a great time. I vacuumed a room at the end of the night as my sole contribution.

Scott, seen here with his lovely wife Ashley, is my sister-in-law's brother, and also my high school friend. They stayed here Sunday and Monday nights on their way from Philadelphia to Utah.

Nick was here too, just behind the camera. We celebrated the fourth with the Pages at the home of Sarah's mom. It was awesome.
